The Inter Miami CF Academy was a member of the United States Soccer Federation’s U.S. Development Academy.
The U.S. Soccer Federation announced April 15, 2020 that it is terminating its development academy, a nationwide youth league encompassing several age groups for both boys and girls, effective immediately.
In a related announcement, MLS said it is forming a new youth competition for the league’s academy teams that might also include non-MLS youth teams.
The U.S. Soccer Development Academy (DA) was a league that constitutes the top tier of youth soccer in the United States. Formed in 2007, the league featured youth academies and youth clubs from various organizations, including Major League Soccer, and the United Soccer League. It succeeded the Super Y League as the premier youth soccer league in the U.S. The DA’s stated mission was to provide education, resources, and support to impact everyday club environments in order to develop world-class players. Boys and Girls teams were members in age groups ranging from U13 to U18/19.
